Infrequently Asked Questions

You might have spotted my Frequently Asked Questions over on the pages relating to some of the services that I offer, so instead, here’s some Infrequently Asked Questions that you may be interested to learn, or simply think are very silly!

Feel free to pop me a message with ideas for the pressing questions that you might have.

Which is your fave dinosaur?

I like an occasional diplodocus for the sheer scale but I have a fondness for a stegosaurus. I have had cause to learn about giant sloth and their role in the cultivation of avocados as we know them today, which I am incredulous about. I’m not a big dinosaur fan but giant land sloths is a subject I’m fascinated by!

Which is the best beach?

So many possible answers! Probably Crantock Beach on the north Cornish coast near Newquay, as it has everything from hidden cave drawings to sand dunes, waterfalls to deep rock pools. I really like Royal Beach near Sooke on Vancouver Island too - being able to see snowy mountains whilst on the beach is never not amazing to me. Most beaches are happy places to me.

Name a fave meal:

So many to choose from! Clearly a proper home-made fry-up breakfast (with Halloumi cheese!) should feature, or a Mei Fun with Egg & Tofu. These are amongst my faves, but add potato to nearly any meal & I'll probably be interested… like say, a proper Cornish pasty!

Which is your prefered ice cream flavour?

Oh my! It varies a little depending on mood. A classy classic vanilla can be great, I have a fondness for Ben & Jerrys ‘Phish Food’, and a really good salted caramel made with proper Cornish Clotted Cream certainly feature. If we’re talking sorbet, its got to be Passionfruit!

What confuses you?

Humanity and existence is a near constant mystery to me so I’m often confused, as every philosopher really should be! Also, despite 3 years living in North America, I’m not convinced that I’ve ever really got the hang of 4-way stop signs - roundabouts thought I’m all good with!
